So one big thing that has been getting some complaints recently is the satchels you get almost every freakn LFR run. Which until now have only had gold. Good news! Thats changing!

Satchels obtained via the Raid Finder now have a chance to contain additional rewards, including: consumables, Spirits of Harmony, rare pets or mounts, and Raid Finder versions of Normal and Heroic difficulty zone drops that were previously unavailable from Raid Finder encounters!

Here's the link for the latest set of patch notes. Other stuff coming is a nerf to Arcane mages! And a free farm!

So now instead of mostly getting bags of gold, we're going to be getting gear that we already have or have better in those slots, and the yummy bags of extra free stuff will be rare.

I dont mind having a rare chance at a mount. But I run a guild...my inventory situation is BEYOND critical. I honestly cannot afford to have satchels full of random vendor trash stuffed in my bags. And thats precisely what Spirits of Harmony and Consumables are to me...vendor trash I cant afford to pick up because they prevent me from completing Dailies. At least the bags of gold are easily cleared, and they pay for my repairs.

So it sounds like instead of getting a reliable consolation prize of 25 gold, I'll have a high chance of getting nothing of value whatsoever? Spiffing.

For someone who was complaining about never finding lotuses, I'm surprised you don't abuse the harmony to lotus conversion...

And you're still going to get gold out of the satchels, just now with a chance of finding something else.

Maybe I'm just being bad this expansion, but I haven't found dailies to be really that important.

Or Plant Enigma seeds. (or whatever the herb one is)

"Abuse the Harmony to lotus conversion...?" Perhaps you can enlighten me? I can grow 1.5 Spirits of Harmony on my farm per day. These can be traded for two lotus. Thats an average of three lotus per day or twenty lotus per week IF I religiously work my farm every single day. That is insufficient to meet the guild's flask requirements, much less allow me to make any gold for myself.

I used to be able to farm herbs in a small area to force respawns, and then take advantage of the chance each respawn might be a lotus to farm up enough lotus to meet our guild's flask needs. Then I would send the surplus herbs to my scribe to be turned into Darkmoon Faire Cards for the guild. But since the massive reduction in respawn rates in Pandaria, that technique no longer works.

Now I can gather up all of the herbs in an area...and there simply wont BE any respawns, lotus or otherwise. So I'm forced to move to other areas, and hope I get lucky and find a Golden Lotus that has somehow been overlooked by all the other herbalists. As a result the number of lotus I find in the wild has dwindled to virtually zero.

My current M.O. is to simply plant Enigma seeds where I gather from 3-6 Golden Lotus per day. More than enough to keep us in Flasks. Sadly my Darkmoon Faire Card production has dropped from one per day to one or two per week because I simply do not have the time to farm the rare pigments required.

This isn't a, what can you do with your farm, suggestion. Money making wise, trading to lotuses is actually a bad conversion compared to the other options available.

What this was, was basically a 'hey, you're getting a chance to get extra mats through the new bags that you were complaining of not getting enough of.'

This is an issue of priorities. I'd love to see a screenshot of your bags so I can understand what is so important there that you feel free supplies that can be converted to others is a complete waste.

Also, you are a guild leader of a large and robust guild. You are not the sole member, nor should be the sole supplier of all the guild materials. It's laudable that you want to provide the guild in everything on top of your other duties. The whole reason blizz took away cauldrons was to prevent just this situation, where the leadership was the ones who did all the leg work for the entire guild.

My apologies if my language implied something that wasn't intended. I was just trying to point out a positive here. Your milage will vary based upon what you're looking to do and what you actually care to have matter.
