Hey Everyone,

Here are some helpful macros for Mistweaver, but can be modified for any healing class. The basics are as follows:

#showtooltip
/use [@mouseover,help,nodead][help,nodead][@player]<SpellName>

So
#showtooltip
will show the normal tool-tip for the spell that is specified where <SpellName> is and also show the correct icon!

"/use" is the command that uses a spell
Things in square brackets "[]" are modifiers. They work in priority order from left to right, so the first one "[@mouseover,help,nodead]" means of the target that is currently under the mouse cursor, be it a player, a target frame or a raid frame; does the target need help and is the target not dead. The second set "[help, nodead]" refers to your current target and will cast if the target needs help and is not dead. The last which is the default case means cast on your self if you don't have a target that isn't dead or needing help.

My macros for healing with Mistweaving:

#showtooltip
/use [@mouseover,help,nodead][help,nodead][@player]Detox

#showtooltip
/use [@mouseover,help,nodead][help,nodead][@player]Effuse

#showtooltip
/use [@mouseover,help,nodead][help,nodead][@player]Enveloping Mist

#showtooltip
/use [@mouseover,help,nodead][help,nodead][@player]Essence Font

#showtooltip
/use [@mouseover,help,nodead][help,nodead][@player]Life Cocoon

#showtooltip
/use [@mouseover,help,nodead][help,nodead][@player]Renewing Mist

#showtooltip
/use [@mouseover,help,nodead][help,nodead][@player]Vivify

#showtooltip
/use [@mouseover,help,dead][help,dead][@player]Resuscitate

Keep in mind, with a little tweaking you can use these macros for any healing class!

Hugs,
Lockspanner

Speaking as a Discipline specialist, mouseover macros combined with raid-style party frames will make your work considerably less onerous when in a party or raid setting, allowing you to dispense positive spells while maintaining your current target and focus with a minimum of clicking. These sorts of macros also work exceptionally well when playing as a Holy paladin, so I recommend trying them out.

An efficient and informative writeup, Lockspanner. Well done.

Thanks so much! I'll try to get them set up on Yuu soon.
