Glad to have you on board Rubberber!

And thanks for sharing your Twitter handle, I've followed you back. I try not to follow too many people because I cant get through all the tweets, and I mostly use it to monitor what Blizzard is up to on the Gnome front.

And I'll have to make a point of checking out your podcast!

Okay, I figure if I'm going to have any kind of permanence I should contribute myself to this thread.

First thing you should learn about me is that I'm an extremely serious person. I do not like to fool around. I get business done, then I move on to the next item on the agenda, and I begin finishing that. If I run out of things to do, then it means that my goals were not set high enough and I should be more ambitious. You will come to learn that while I may appear stern, I am usually justified in my harsh outlook, because I am always right. I do not tolerate jokes, funny business, and I do not appreciate humor. On that note, the one thing that absolutely, completely, indubitably, causes me to seethe with a passionate hatred unseen by those but the denizens of Lucifer's domain, is sarcasm. Can't stand it Jack. Nope, if you use sarcasm with me, we will not get along...

Actually:
I am a Synthetic Human created to study and judge Earthlings. In exactly 9071 days, I will return to my people and deliver my final report. So far I have found the entire situation most disappointing. I expect better from you all, for the sake of your progeny.

Or maybe I'm not.

The words that our lovely boss used to describe me was off-beat. I believe that is a much kinder way to describe what others have called my shenanigans. Yeah, I'll go with off-beat. Love me or hate me, here I am. I'd shake your hands, offer a hug, or bow, but to do so would require a fair amount of personal information and a significant time investment on my part, so you will have to settle with a salutation delivered via 12 point font on an internet message board for Role Playing about Gnomes.

Hello.

Good bye.

An off-beat sense of humor is not necessarily a bad thing. And you'll get used to the boss Gnome taking things a little too seriously...eventually. =)

Welcome aboard!

(This is what I got when I asked her to perch on my shoulder like a parrot. Nailed it.)

Well, why not!?

I'm Dinkas Cogspark, Jim, Daddy, or Hey You. I'm more likely to answer to some of those than others depending on who you are. I am 30 years old, live in Texas, and have been playing WoW since BC came out. I would have been playing Vanilla but hadn't even heard of WoW until some friends told me about it. I started on dialup though, so even though I missed some of the woes of leveling in Vanilla, that made up for it. :D

I am not really a "gamer." I play WoW, Skyrim, Final Fantasy, and a tiny handful of other games I could probably count without running out of fingers. I love sports, mostly football, and am a Green Bay Packers fan.

I am often taken the wrong way via text because I generally treat everyone as if they are my friend. I will poke fun at you, play the devil's advocate, often times act silly, and I'm sarcastic just as often as I'm serious. Some people don't like it, but that's me. It's best to take me as if you've known me for years. :D

I'm a scorpio, enjoy long walks on the beach and a nicely aged white with mild cheese and artisan bread with violin music playing in the background. Or something.

Ask me anything, or for anything. I love helping people and talking about anything. If I'm not responsive, I'm probably afk or just focused on what I'm doing. I always try to respond, but have kid aggro more than mob aggro.

I can have more than one. The saying goes not to put all your eggs in one basket. In this case, I'm picking a fight with a lot of chickens.

Probably better to choose non guilded chickens. :D

Or ones that aren't built like a grizzly bear. :P

Chickens you say? I have a polymorph spell for that!

Yay Dink! And thats an awesome picture! Glad to have you with us!

And Slip, I have a sarcastic streak so wide you can see it on Google Earth if you zoom out far enough. But I've become better at keeping it under control in my old age. Except where Blizzard is concerned. They seem to draw out the worst in me.

Well...Prepare yourself boss, because now you are my NEW arch rival. Watch your every move, I might be there, ready to challenge you to a randomly recurring rival dispute to assert my dominance. You will not be prepared.

I hope.
For my own safety.
And job security.
It's hard economy for an old gnome.
You know what? Just ignore everything I've said, I love sarcasm, bully for sarcasm. Sarcasm sure is swell!

Yo! My name is Sploink (On the left in the white shirt) and I just joined a few days ago. Just wanted to post on the forums and say hello! I play music when I'm not playing wow.

Here's a song I uploaded earlier this year.

Howdy, the name is Tarquinnus.

I had this whole geeked out story of my gnome's origin and everything, but after looking through the posts I would think I'd have overgeeked myself.

A little bit about myself... I am fairly new to WoW, but not new to mmorpgs. If anyone is familiar of Dark Age of Camelot, I played there since Shrouded Isles and continued until the servers dwindled. I played as a pesky Lurikeen (think of leprachauns) that was a PvP monster (enchanter, which was known for stun, nuke, nuke... but I was clever, I did debuff, stun, nuke, nuke, /dance) . The RP server felt friendlier and there was an awesome all-lurikeen guild called "Ankle-Biters" (all my alts on that server were lurikeens).

This was partially why I started playing on RP servers on wow and loved it. Met a lot of friendly, great people so far, including meeting some of you in game already. I'm still learning the ropes, so bear with me. Hopefully in time, we will get to gnome each more better.

Alright.. *phew* was that too much?

(*Small tidbit about Tarquinnus. From Roman origins (Lucius Tarquinius Superbus), one of the last 7 kings of Rome that was so infamous, he desecrated the idea of monarchy in Rome. Felt fitting, since Tarquinnus the Gnome was banished from those he loved and cared about after becoming a death knight, even killing a beloved kin. The path of redemption was muffled with humility and confusion... and tomatoes. Lots of tomatoes.)

Hello my fellow Gnome brothers and sisters,

My name is Werx and I am currently battling my way through the dark dungeons across Azeroth to gain the experience I need to help establish a strong Gnomish foothold and retake Gnomeregan. I may only be a small ripple in the water now but mark my words I will be forging ahead and pretty soon there there will be not an Orc anywhere that does not know the name Werx. The tide is about to change. I wear my Tabard proudly and if there is anything any of my fellow Gnomes need please don't hesitate to call out and I will be there.

Werx

Now a little about myself....

I have recently come back to wow after a few years and have been loving it. I have had a lot of fun in the past from having my own guild, being a raid leader and being an avid PVP player as well. I am new to RP and did a lot of "google" research and it seemed to be more my style so alas here I am. My favourite toons have always been Gnomes so I was delighted to find G4 :) I want to explore old content, new content and everything in between. I have a rogue too (Nixxe) that I am levelling, but will keep her at 70 for a while to explore further. Werx I plan to take all the way. I'm new to tanking but I am endeavouring to learn by jumping into the dark waters of the unknown. I hope to see you all out there :) thank you all for the warm welcome so far.

Greetings, gnomes! I am so pleased to have joined your terrorist orgnization (sorry, semi-militarized insurgency dedicated to the reinstatement of a deposed regime). I have been observing your activities for a week or two now, and to be honest I don't really see how they're helping to retake Gnomeregan yet. Beseiging Ogrimmar, rummaging through ancient ruins, growing turnips, fighting orcs and trolls, exploring the land of talking teddy bears, training squirrels to fight, trying to impress local girls (or boys, I don't judge), collecting rocks and plants, chasing tauren on the Timeless Isle, running away from tauren on the Timeless Isle, getting blown up, stabbed, incinerated, crushed, thrown into volcanoes and dismembered by giant robots, and (apparently every Tuesday) eating too many pancakes. I'm sure all of these are just part of a grand strategy, I just don't see it quite yet.

What I don't see much of, frankly, is some good old fashioned piety and respect for the Gods.

I can't tell you how dangerous it is to ignore the gods, spirits, deities, demigods and other supernatural entities who have taken an interest in Azeroth. And those are just the nicer supernatural beings hanging around. You've heard of the ghost in the machine? Just wait until you get a thunder spirit stuck in your gyrochronitom. For awhile I was despairing for all of you.

Then I had an Epiphany (and boost to the 90th Circle of Gnomedom)! If you all are going to blithely continue tempting the gods to send down locusts, lightning bolts, plagues, boils, reality tv shows and brussels sprouts, I, Goldric Goldspun, can help save you from yourselves and act as an intermediary. I will protect you from the (justifiably) offended gods, provide their blessings and gifts to you (at very competitive prices!), and you can continue to ignore them at substantially reduced peril!

Please take the time to get to know me and find out about my services, which include miraculous healing, raising the dead, lowering the dead, leaving the dead at their current height above sea level, blessings, consecrations, weddings, last rites (discounted in bulk), hearing confessions, (the much more popular) pretending to hear confessions but really just having a nap, selling pardons, indulgences, holy water, holy relics, holy smoke and nice little wafers, and a wide range of other services. Prosthelytizing absolutely free, new converts and acolytes welcome, and ask about getting your frequent blessing card.

Blessings be upon you, and so such from you unto thee. Also, Gnomeregan Forever!

----

Aaaand, a bit about the man behind the gnome:

I'm a long time player and rp'er from Emerald Dream server and a bit of an alt-o-holic (10 90's in total). I've been hanging around WRA for a couple of months and really like the quality and quantity of rp here in comparison to ED, and G4 has a great mix of activities, momentum, maturity, lighthearted rp and of course gnomes. RP is not my only interest in the game, but I like to mix a bit of it into everything else I do whenever I can. I decided to switch servers for WoD since I wasn't looking forward to all the teenagers who will take a break from Ninetendo and wanking to level their toons to 100 in the first week and spend the rest of the next several months griefing more casual players like me.

IRL, I am: a consultant running my own business, Canadian, middish to lateish 40's, married, no kids, several dogs, living the suburban dream/nightmare, and nice. I am not as religious as Goldric, but I am slightly taller. I'm willing to help out, chat, RP, or group up almost any time I'm on, but if I don't answer in chat it's because I tend to afk, concentrate on not standing in the fire, or just don't pay attention. Sorry in advance. Other than that, feel free to ask about anything else you want to know, and I look forward to getting to know you all in game.

Oh jeez, just came across this thread, but time for my introduction! :D

I'm Lilyyx, known as Katelyn IRL. I'm freshly 18 and I'm a young and aspiring artist. I joined WoW about a year ago, I believe around the valentine's day event actually! I have had 4 90s, though one o them I deleted. This is my first time playing alliance on a serious note; I had been started on horde when I first started playing. I'm currently not in school but plan to get my GED then pursue college to further my thirst for knowledge in forensics.

As for my character, Lilyyx, she's a bit of an odd one. She has a few screws loose from the traumatic experience she witnessed in gnomeregan. (It's speculated she might've inhaled a few fumes on her way out) She strives to understand the biology of Azeroth, Outland and even Draenor's creatures, even if it means doing a few dissections. Most times the disobedient demons she has summoned are subject to her studies, but she opts more towards those who are already dead (even if she feel a live subject is more viable).

Oh! Picture. Right.
