This post, in 7/2012 was my introduction to the guild. Later that year, after Tridyna sparked a unquietable streak of writing and character development, a seed was planted. I feel that I have changed so much within the last year, that I'm practically a new person. And so, with the hope that I don't offend or upset anyone, I would like to reintroduce myself.
Note - If this does generate drama, I give my full support to Forbs to take it down.
My name, my preferred given name anyway, is Sascha Adeen Sinopa. What's really changed about me, what's probably most noticeable about me now, is that my persona has changed, my presentation of my gender identity, unknown prior to recently, has changed. What was probably more apparent online, and not so in person, is that I am transgender, transfeminine more specifically. Who I am, versus who I thought I was supposed to be, expected to be, has been my primary focus in exclusion of much else this past year. And except for minor problems that has risen from this, I couldn't be happier.
Now, as far as my involvement with the guild... For the time being, I'm still going to be restricted to online commentary only, as I don't even have a workable computer that can play WoW at the moment. I would definitely like to resume my storyboard contributions and collaborations, as well as offering as much online support as I can for any endeavor or project.
I think you're on neutral ground here. You're not on 8chan or 4chan so you won't be seen as an attention seeker (it took way too long to translate what they'd say to you into something PG, :P .) You're not on Tumblr or Twitter so you're not a new cog in the SJW machine.
Personally, despite my previous misunderstandings with SOME trans people, I think it was extremely brave of you to make that post and I applaud the way you did it. You didn't come of ass attention-seeking, self-victimizing, or annoying. You came off as the best kind of trans-person (in my opinion,) someone who legitimately feels they were born in the wrong body, isn't ashamed of it, and took the proper steps to make herself feel better without demanding all of us applaud you.
I would, as a curious individual is wont, love to ask you some questions in private (or public if you'd prefer) about the process as I have always wanted to sate my curiosity on the subject but... (see misunderstandings above.) *wry grin* some trans people are a little too defensive to glean information on the subject.
I hope you get a good computer soon. I'd love to RP with you.
Baby, I'm back!

Just realized that I missed introducing myself as well. Unlike the hubby, I'm very self-conscious about how I look, so I reserve the right to add a picture to this in a few months, once I've lost some weight and gained my tan back (the tan actually being the more important of the two, since I look like a ghost at the moment. I'm all pale and ew.)
In the Guild, I'm Jecca, outside of it I'm me. One thing I've noticed since hanging around is that the things I am most attracted to, creative endeavors and intelligence, are in abundance here, so I hope to contribute to those along with the other talented and creative people in the guild. I love books, like SERIOUSLY love books, and according to my other friends I'm a "walking WoW lore repository". I will admit, however, that my knowledge of gnome lore was a bit lacking prior to rolling one.
I'm an old school gamer, starting with pen and paper D&D, and I've been playing WoW since vanilla, at least off and on. Didn't manage to get my OWN account until just before BC, but then I didn't have my own computer until Wrath, so that's probably understandable.
I love being here, I love the RP, I love the events, and I love the people. Also, I find Forbs' "Expansion Crusades" to be quite interesting, and I'm calling them that because it seems that in every expansion, Forbs' picks a goal and sticks to it until Blizz goes "ok, here!". I noticed that even back when I played Horde, and even posted in a few of Forbs' threads back in the day on my Horde characters, notable mostly in that I'm fairly long-winded (if you haven't noticed).
The heart of Man is not compound of lies, but draws some wisdom from the only Wise, and still recalls him. Though now long estranged, Man is not wholly lost nor wholly changed.
Yay. Now I don't have to double-post. I hate doing that. Here's a big ol' picture of me.
I'm Reimund in-game and Ryan outside of it. I was born on August 5th, 1983 which was a full three months and some change before I was supposed to be born (Nov. 18th) and I weighed one pound, fourteen ounces. I am, before all else therefore, a survivor type. I died over a dozen times at birth and twice post-cognizance (once at 10 and once at 22.) The reason for the many many MANY deaths is that my lungs suck... like REALLY suck... like "they can't give me any more medication that isn't Prednisone and I'm not allowed to work or go to college in California because I might die and my wife might sue my employers/the schol" (not that she would but it's California logic) kind of suck. Now I also have eye, ear, and chronic pain problems but those can be worked around. I should know. I've taken classes and everything. These lungs are the real kick to the teeth and they frustrate me at times (if you hadn't noticed.)
Now that that whole pain in the lungs is out of the way, I can tell you fine peoples about myself. I love video games and have since I was two years old and got my first Atari 800xl on my eye doctor's orders. My favorite genres tend to be fast or slow games; platformers from the old days, 2d fighting games, and racing games for the fast and turn-based strategy games and RPGs for the slow... although, come to think of it, WoW is kind of a fast game too. I also love to cook, read (although not physical books anymore due to a cataract 7 years ago,) write, and ponder things. My brain simply will not shut off so, whether history, psychology, what-if scenarios, or everything involving weapons and conflict, my brain is constantly buzzing... even when I try to go to sleep. *sigh*
I met Jecca some six years ago on Moon Guard back when being Horde meant something. Luckily for me, I got her to move in with me. Unluckily for me, California's job market sucks and we both have strings of very VERY bad luck to contend with but we're positive that we'll make it. Six years without a single argument has to mean something, right? The way we figure it, we're getting all the BS out of the way first so our next 60 or so years will be smooth(er) sailing. Believe you-me, if we hadn't gotten together, you would be seeing a much more depressed me on these forums. She's the one who showed me that, even with all of my problems, I'm still a human being worth caring for (even that I'm something of a catch in a non-conventional way.) She also showed me that I have more skills than I thought I did. Blind training, as it turns out, makes one tactilely aware enough to give one heck of a deep-tissue massage.
So that's me, pretty much... and Reimund is a Gnomish version of me with more confidence and less married. I was going to do another character but I like being a prot tank too much.
Baby, I'm back!

Sverra, you are so brave! /hug Please know you are completely accepted for who you are. You're my friend and creative collaborator. There is always a candle in the window and a table open for you at Wings and Wheels. Just so you know, Jecca is interested in our stories and has shown an interest in the Cafe. We have another voice to our tales. :)
Reimund, welcome! I greatly enjoy your presence in the guild. I love your outlook on life. You are a real force of nature. Hmmm, you give deep tissue massages? I wish you could do that remotely. I think my fibromyalgia ridden body would enjoy that very much. Hahahaha
Jecca, welcome! What can I say? You are fun and you add a nice energy to the guild! I am looking forward to your stories. Yes, it's easy to see you are a fellow storyteller and I cannot wait to see what springs out of your mind next.
Jecca made an embarrassed noise and dashed out of the room while I was reading this message (which is adorable.) Hey writers, wanna see if we can find a way to exorcise that voice out of her head that tells her "your writing will never get you anywhere" in her mother's voice? I keep TELLING her she's a good writer, good enough to write big-boy books as does our friend, another writer, and that voice tenaciously hangs on. Gotta KILL it! Gotta KILL IT GOOD!
I wonder if there's a way to exorcise my own writer's block. Under pressure, I'm great but when I sit down to write a thing, more often than not I just... freeze.
You're not the first one to liken my personality to a force of nature and I'm always flattered and humbled by the compliment (even when it's not meant as one, hehehe)
I used to have both problems. Tridyna changed it. The best way to break writers block and gain confidence is to use write. Even if it's just a little role play on a forum or inside a game, it's something. And you can build upon it.
Hey everyone, I'm a new member here, but hardly new to WoW. I've actually played, on and off, since BC. Best time I ever had was running through Blackrock Depths, back when it was all one dungeon. Took 8 hours..but so much fun. Anyway, I forgot the information on that account, and this is my newest one. I DO have a level 100, but got bored with playing him.(Undead rogue, btw), and I've never played completely through on Alliance. SO, I decided to go for it. Why did I choose G4? Pretty simple, I like Gnomes...and what race makes a better rogue, eh?. And I like being in a guild that is both helpful and social...I like to at LEAST have someone to chat with or get help from while I'm leveling. I'll be at 100 before you know it...lol Now as to me in Real Life I'm 48, been married for 13 years now. I have a handsome son who is 11, and smart as a whip. Unfortunately, he's not interested in WoW...he's more of a Minecraft nut..lol. I currently work 2 jobs, both doing the same thing...maintenance at a couple of stores, who I won't mention. I don't have a LOT of extra time, and even when I do, my son tends to be on the computer, so you'll usually see me on late at night. I love reading, mainly sci-fi, horror, fantasy type books, but at the moment I'm into zombies/dystopian fiction. I used to read a lot of paperbacks, but since I have the Kindle app on my phone, that's become my primary source of reading material....I have a service called BookBub that I'm signed up to. It sends me notifications of 4 books per day in my area of interest that are available from the Kindle store. They're usually pretty cheap, and most of the time 1 out of the 4 is free. I don't always download them, but do so quite often. Anyway, I'm rambling. Hope to see everyone ingame. Tocsizz
Well, it seems it's been a while since anyone posted in here, but I'm happy to add another name and face to the list of fine Gnomes in this thread. I'll start off with the most recent picture of myself I have, taken just a couple weeks ago at the school I work at during picture day:
I currently work at an elementary school with a student suffering from emotional disabilities and autism. I have a pretty diverse background: a Master's degree in Education, a B.A. in Theology, and an Associates degree in Communication. I'm an Air Force veteran and worked as an intelligence analyst for 4 years while stationed in Oklahoma. I'll also be starting a new job for a health insurance company in less than two weeks.
I'm also married to a fellow former intelligence analyst (we met during training):
Both of us having been playing WoW for years and I've been trying my best to convince her to make a Gnome, but... she's a Blood Elf at heart. Maybe one day.
I've been playing WoW since vanilla and mostly focus on PvP. I have experience in Rated Battlegrounds playing at a 2k rating, but found that most competitive teams are really unpleasant to play with because the pressure to win is so great, so I transferred to Wymrest Accord to join you fine Gnomes in a much friendlier environment. :)
Howdy fellow Gnomes! My name is Joseph, Sheancy and Kipeppe in game, and new to the guild. I have been playing since early Burning Crusade, first as a hunter then as a Warlock. I enjoy just about every aspect of the game, pve and pvp, but am totally new to the RP side of things so I am looking forward to learning more about it and developing that side of things.
I am honored to be part of the guild and look forward to many great adventures with everyone.
